**my words. this is very true among a lot of people. they are doing what they think they are supposed to do. which is being persuaded into thinking they have to vote for one or another and getting the facts from others instead of actually listening to the candidates and keeping up on the issue for their own knowledge. this is the sad reality of this election. there seems to be a lot of people who they encouraged and actually got to register to vote, and this is the outcome. a bunch of people who were persuaded to do something and told who to vote for. and a lot of minorities are only voting for obama because he is not white. and for that reason only. this is not the situation with everyone, but it is the situation for a percentage of voters going to the polls this year.**

Howard started off the show playing a few clips of Sal asking black people if they were voting for Obama, and attributed all of McCain’s political policies to Obama to see if they would still vote for him. All the interviewees readily agreed with Obama when Sal lied to them about his pro-life, anti-stem-cell research and pro-war policies. Howard said the clips were revealing, and Sal came in to say he thought the election had become less about ideas and, instead, some kind of race war.
